The third world Rabies Day is fast approaching
and the Dyne Immune Company is most appreciative for the past efforts
and wishes to commend the Alliance for Rabies Control (ARC) and
the many supporting agencies for the initiation of Rabies vaccination
and instituting difficult animal control in undeveloped countries.
Dyne Immune with its Rapid Rabies Screen™ is now adding a
new dimension to the many activities of World Rabies Day with the
introduction
of this Rapid on site, affordable, non instrument accurate screening
test to compliment the efforts of special events of World Rabies
Day. This new dimension will make a real difference and the solution
of the many problems associated with world wide Rabies – the
solution and new dimension is the Early Detection of Rabies.
Up until now there has never been a test to detect rabies in living
animals for an antemortem diagnosis – all tests done with
current laboratory methods use post-mortem methodology which has
many disadvantages. The Rapid Rabies Screen™ test can be
the new standard for Rabies detection which will have a profound
impact
in reducing mortability in human rabies as well as eliminating
the unnecessary euthanasia of animals and the emotional fear, cost
and stress of humans after dog bites.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that there are over
50,000 human deaths each year in undeveloped countries or 150 deaths
a day of children and young adults dying of Rabies every 15 minutes
per day – as a physician well versed in preventable medicine
this is unacceptable to me. Dyne Immune will initiate its community
awareness, alert of action program for the early detecting of Rabies
in wildlife using the Rapid Rabies Screen™ as an educational tool
in the USA. This will be the first step in a program for a successful
war on Rabies which can then be implemented world-wide.
